Among my more embarrassing notes "from my youth" is that I used to be enthralled by Ayn Rand (though, I was introduced through The Foutainhead). Fortunately, I was then exposed to enough life experience to realize that no person is an island. But, I can also understand how her work has been important intellectually and politically.
Which brings me to my real question.
Why, then, why does the celebration have John Stossel give the keynote speaker?
The man is a Geraldo-wannabe (and, I have actually confused the two of them before). BTW, membership resolution at AGEL to send Goff on the AFT dime!!!

That's a really good likeness of John Stossel in the log, except that I'm pretty sure that he has a moustache.

YES!
Please, please, please let Pamela "Atlas Shrugged" Oshry Geller be there!
Hell, let's get AFT to pay for it!
