Dorkus Maximus

An e-mail I sent to the customer service desk at levi.com. Is anyone else having this problem?
Dear Ma'am or Sir,

Over the last couple of years my family has purchased several pairs of Levi's jeans, both men's and women's jeans. I have continually encountered a problem with the belt loops pulling away from the denim fabric. This has happened on several pairs of jeans, the latest incident occurring on a pair I purchased less than a month ago. As you can imagine, I cannot afford to spend $35 a month on jeans.

The Levi brand used to denote a quality, durable product, but this obviously no longer the case. Unfortunately, I find myself forced to look else where for my jeans-related purchases.

I've actually had the same problem.

I'm assuming that you'll be a Wrangler man from here on out?

Now that you mention it, I have had a few pairs of Levi's with broken belt loops in the past few years. Not at your rate of failure though.

Good luck finding jeans made elswhere. I toured a blue-jean factory in Lesotho, with 5,000 employees where they were busy producing jeans for Levi's, Lee, Wrangler, and many more. (If I had a place to post pictures I would show you the mountains of blue jeans that I took with the camera inside my jacket.)

You can always go with the union-made jeans from All American Clothing (formerly the Union Jean Co., when I googled Union Jeans, I got some website for jeans that made me fear that the Union Jean Co. had merged with American Apparel). They are at http://www.allamericanclothing.com/ . Myself I haven't been brave enough to order jeans over the internet for my hard-to-fit fat ass.

I've never had a loop problem with Levis in 20 years, but then, I don't use a belt, except tool belt.
