Let's Find Out What They Think About Committee Assignments
With all respect to the work of one of my dearest friends, I'm not sure that it is helpful for articles chronicling the unpopularity of one George W. "W." Bush to cite his low standing with "academics" and "professional historians" as proof that he is/was a God-awful president. Professors are amazing people in their ability to sublimate their personal opinions when teaching classes, but when it comes to deciding how the current president ranks in a completely meaningless survey, one has to imagine that their personal opinions will hold sway. I mean, this is like asking professors if graduate school was harder when they went through it. I think we can predict the results of that poll.
